We buy 500 m3/month beech beams, fresh sawn, natural quality (= non steamed) / ABC mix, 180 x 180mm (invoiced 176 x 176mm), length 2.5-4.0m.
Quality: heart allowed, knots allowed (but not rotten knots), no end-splits.
Very important: straight sawn / sharp edges (no wane, no bark), 90 degrees angles.
The actual heart is accepted - in max 30% of the delivered material. Also, the actual heart of the log should be quite centered in the beam, but at least 30mm away from the top edge.
