In the first seven months of the year, production in the U.S. West amounted 8.303 billion board feet (approximately 19,5 million cubic meters). This represents an increase of 5.1% from January-July 2013, as Random Lengths reports. Production through July was up 5.5% in the Coast region and 5.9% in the Inland. Output in the California Redwood region was down 8.9% vs. the January-July 2013 period. Production across the West in July totaled 1.205 billion board feet (2,8 million m3), up 9.7% from July 2013 and 2.6% higher than the June figure.
