On 2 and 3 January, the storm Alfrida has moved across Sweden. As the Swedish forestry company Skogsstyrelsen reports, the storm has caused at least 500,000 m3 of storm wood, especially in the Stockholm area.

Alfrida was less violent than Gudrun (2005) and Per (2007), but locally large amounts of wood had been thrown. In addition to the Stockholm region, the area around Uppsala and Gotland are also affected. In addition, more wood damages were reported from southern and central Sweden.
