The largest OSB (Oriented Strand Board) manufacturing facility in North America has opened in Corrigan, Texas, located in Polk County. Corrigan OSB, LLC, a subsidiary of Martco LLC (which operates under the RoyOMartin® brand), recently expanded its facility, making it a significant addition to the timber industry in the region. The plant, once fully operational, is expected to meet high demand for sustainable, quality building materials.
This $211 million expansion will have a substantial economic impact, creating jobs and supporting local businesses in Texas’ forest products industry. Construction on the expansion began in 2021, and the facility's second mill started producing OSB panels in June 2024. The investment in Corrigan aligns with the city's longstanding reputation as a center for timber production, recently recognized with an official designation as the Timber Products Capital of Texas.
Governor Greg Abbott attended the opening ceremony, noting the state's economic resilience and manufacturing growth. The Corrigan OSB plant’s expansion aligns with Texas' continued commitment to a business-friendly environment, bolstered by a Texas Enterprise Fund grant that the company received in 2021.
This new capacity will strengthen Texas' position in the building materials market and contribute to the growing economy in East Texas. With this expansion, Corrigan OSB stands as a major player in North American timber manufacturing, providing high-quality OSB for construction and related industries.
