The Polish furniture manufacturer Forte postpones its investment in a fifth furniture factory for 2019, the company said in a press release. The contract with the HOMAG Group, which was supposed to supply equipment for the plant, should have been signed at the end of May, but the date was postponed until the end of June on the grounds that the negotiations were still ongoing.
Now the investment in the new furniture plant in Suwałki is scheduled to be postponed for 2019. Forte explained that they wanted to keep the level of liabilities at a safe level. Actually, the first stage of the furniture factory should have gone into operation already in the third quarter of 2019, with the final stage of expansion in 2021.
The investment volume amounts to 60 million euros.
