For all of 2013, structural panel production in the U.S. and Canada totaled 29.9 billion square feet (2,77 billion cubic meters), up 7.6% from 2012. Apparent consumption was 29.2 billion square feet (2,71 cubic meter), up 7.7% from 2012. Production of glulam beams rose 11.7% in 2013. I-joist output was up 12.6% for the year, and LVL production increased 14.4%, the report concludes.
