The plant manufacturer recently received the order for Metro-Ply's second Siempelkamp MDF plant for the Surat Thani site in Thailand. The scope of supply also includes several additional machines and systems for a 25% expansion of the existing particleboard plants at the Nonthaburi site. In August, the Metro-Ply Group and the Siempelkamp Group signed the contract for the delivery of the new MDF plant including a ContiRoll Generation 9i with a capacity of 450,000 m3/year. In addition, there is the forming line, the board handling system and the intermediate storage facility. The Siempelkamp subsidiary BÜTTNER is contributing an energy plant, a fiber dryer and an ESP filter.
Pallmann will supply the complete wood chipping lines for MDF production from rubber wood. Pallmann and BÜTTNER will also each supply ten knife ring flakers and a drum dryer to increase the capacity of the particle board plants at the Nonthaburi site by 220,000 m3/year and thus further strengthen Metro-Ply's market position. The start of assembly of the new MDF plant is planned for the end of the third quarter of 2025.
