The German producer price indices for oak tended in various directions in September 2023. On average, the index for log wood increased by 2,8% to 140,4 points. For A-Quality there was not enough data availible. B qualities reached the level of 144,1 points ( 7,7% ), to which 3 m lengths contributed with 19,7% to 142 points – and 5 m lengths with -4,6% to 148,5 .
C qualities in September reached 150,2 points ( 1,3% ) – in 3 m lengths 158,2 ( 2,3% ). 5 m lengths reached 154,8 points ( -1,8% ).
For oak pulpwood Destatis calculated an index of 113,5 points ( -3,6% ). Pulpwood of beech reached 138,6 points ( 0,9% ). The hardwood pulpwood index arrived at 134,8 points ( 0,4% ).
