Danzer reports sales growth of 25% in 2021

Hardwood specialist Danzer reported annual sales of €170 million in 2021. Adjusted for the activities of the sawmill in Bradford, Pennsylvania, which was sold in April 2021, this corresponds to an increase of 25% compared to the previous year and 9% compared to 2019, thanks to strong demand. Operationally, the year was characterized by bottlenecks and price increases for raw materials, transport and labour. Strategically, Danzer continues to invest continuously in systems for the intelligent use of wood and the automation of processes.

57% of the turnover came from the sale of sliced ​​products, 28% from sawn products, the remaining 15% of the turnover came from logs, specialties and services. In 2021, hardwood specialist Danzer delivered products to 71 countries. The following ten countries accounted for 78% of sales, in this order: USA, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Poland, Austria, China, Slovakia, Mexico and Sweden.
