Under the name "DREWEX", the company started operating in 1992. From the beginning, it dealt with wood processing, mainly beech, oak and coniferous wood.
The production consisted in partial sawing of large-size raw material into semi-finished sawn timber (friezes, laths, beams) without drying the materials in the dryer. The company supplied furniture and chair factories as well as floor and parquet manufacturers. After moving the headquarters to Tyrawa Wołoska near Sanok in 1997 (after buying the property from SKR), the plant continued production, specializing in dried and steamed semi-finished products, beech and oak timber for export to large companies producing floorboards in Sweden (Tarkett ) and Finland (Upofloor). In 2003, the owner of the plant allocated investment funds for the purchase of a line for the production of parquet and solid wood floorboards. It turned out that it was a good investment, because the demand for these products was very high and DREWEX could fill this gap, becoming a significant manufacturer and supplier to the domestic and foreign markets (mainly Germany). Part of the above-mentioned investment funds was the result of a subsidy received from P.A.R.P.
