Stora Enso appoints Hannu Kasurinen as new head of Wood Products
26/08/2008 - 20:17
Stora Enso has appointed Hannu Kasurinen as the new head of Stora Enso's Wood Products Business Area and a member of the Group Executive Team (GET). He will report directly to CEO Jouko Karvinen and be based in Helsinki. Wood Products has, in an exceptionally difficult market situation, performed poorly since the end of last year and made a loss in the past two quarters.

Until today's appointment, Hannu Kasurinen was responsible for Stora Enso strategy, and before that he was for two years head of Stora Enso Speciality Papers with operations in North America and Europe. The former head of Stora Enso Wood Products since 2003, Peter Kickinger, will leave Stora Enso by mutual agreement. He will stay in the office until the end of September 2008 and support Hannu Kasurinen in his new role. Kickinger has been with the Group for the past ten years since Stora Enso acquired Holzindustrie Schweighofer.
