| New edition of an old plan. According to a report of "The Canadian Press" a First Nations community in Interior British Columbia will realise an idea that a couple of business had before them. The Whispering Pines band in Kamloops, north-east of Vancouver plans to purchase a mill to turn pine beetle wood into wood pellets. The Chief of the group Mike Lebourdais also quoted a sum of $30 million required to let the project become true. Further meetings over the next few days with the provincial forests minister and the Kamloops mayor will show, wether the Natives may turn over a new leaf in the use of pine beetle wood in British Columbia. |
