Brazil: September wood products exports disappoint

Brazil's September exports of wood products (except pulp and paper) fell 12% in value compared to September 2014, from US$238.8 million to US$ 210.0 million. The value of pine sawnwood exports dropped around 1% between September 2014 (US$ 21.9 million) and September 2015 (US$ 21.7 million) but in terms of volume there was an increase (93,200 cu.m to 97,900 cu.m)... Tyrol: Spruce sawlogs price up, but still at the lowest level in 5 years

In October, the average price for the main sawlog assortments in Tyrol has increased significantly. One of the reasons is the sharp price rise detected in East Tyrol. Candidates nominated for “The Wood and Natural Fibre Composite Award 2015”

One of the highlights of the biannual WPC and NFC Conference, Cologne (16 – 17 December 2015, Maritim Hotel Cologne, Germany) is the award presentation of the “Wood and Natural Fibre Composite Award”. The conference, organized by nova-Institute, is the biggest special event on Wood-Plastic Composites (WPC) and Natural Fibre Composites (NFC) worldwide. UPM 3Q sales increased by 5%

UPM's sales for 3Q 2015 were Euro 2,530 million, 5% higher than Euro 2,415 million in 3Q 2014. EBITDA totalled Euro 345 million (13.6% of sales), in line with the Euro 344 million (14.2% of sales) of last year. German Pellets: No investment in Russia

As German Pellets explains, the company does not participate in any pellet project in Russia. IHB-Fordaq had released yesterday a report based on information of Russia's Pskov regional press office. German Pellets says, there are currently no plans to invest in Russia. Corresponding exploratory talks that took place in the Russian province of Nizhny Novgorod in 2013 had led to no result....
