Spruce and pine logs prices are reported as stable or increasing slightly in States in Northern Germany. Demand exceeds supply in both log species. Consequently log removal by buyers is rapid. Current log prices are usually valid until the end of the year or the end of the first quarter of 2013. Price estimations for the second quarter are already pre-arranged.

Price for spruce BC 2b + lies mainly at 90-93 EUR / m3. Older contracts referring to prices such as 89-92 EUR / m3 are still valid. In the far north prices are significantly lower for BC 2b+ at 80-85 EUR / m3. For lower German diameter clases price reductions are of 5-6 EUR / m3 per diameter class going down from BC 2b+.

Prices for pine BC 1b is in the 68-71 EUR / m3 range. For other diameter classes prices vary 3 to 5 EUR / m3 per diameter class. Prices in higher qualities for export are significantly higher. Here prices exceed 70 EUR / m3 and peak rates go well above 80 EUR / m3.

Industrial qualities are "sold out" almost everywhere. Prices for ISFK / MDF wood are at 21-24 EUR / pm, while for OSB products prices are at 27-31 EUR / pm at a regional level, but also at  24-27 EUR / pm. In areas where there is a market for ISN, prices are at 30-31 EUR / pm.
