Lithuania: Pine and spruce sawlogs more expensive in March

After a stable February, Lithuanian roundwood prices went up again in March both as compared to February as well as compared to March 2013. Pine, spruce and birch sawlogs gained between EUR 0,58 to EUR 1,15 per cubic meter over February, while alder and small-sized softwood price decreased by EUR 0,58 and EUR 0,48 per cubic meter respectively.

On a yearly basis, in March, almost all prices of roundwood in Lithuania are higher, except alder and birch pulpwood. Pine and spruce sawlogs are more expensive by 13,17% and 16,65%, meanwhile pine and spruce pulpwood prices have increased by more than 20%.

The above prices are collected from metla.fi. Prices are converted from Lituanian Litas (LTL) to Euro for each specific month at ECB conversion rates.
