Jarl Timber, a susbsidiary of Norvik Timber Industries, has made a decision to start an investment program in Jarl Timber to increase the sawmill’s efficiency. The program will start in January 2016 and during the first year will total about 1,0 million EUR.

''The investments planed for 2016 will be made to open bottlenecks in the production line and we estimate the efficiency to improve by about 20-25%,'' says Egil Freitag, Managing Director at Jarl Timber.

Jarl Timber produces currently annually about 100 000 m3 of spruce and pine timber which are sold to Europe, Far East & North Africa.

''This investment project is part of our long-term plan to improve the company’s competitiveness. South Sweden has been and is a challenging region to operate sawmills and we need to continuously develop the company,'' says Sampsa Auvinen, CEO of Norvik Timber Industries.
