Considering the success of China Furniture & Woodworks 2007, numerous international wood suppliers focus their attention on the 2008 edition. Dalian is the most active wood trade port in North China and the largest solid wood flooring production and export base. Large groups of export-oriented companies are located in Dalian and need overseas wood resources. Because Russian wood deliveries will shrink for tax reasons, wood suppliers from other countries will gain more benefit. In order to explore the growing North China market, with the support of U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service, the Hardwood States Export Group will organize a USA pavilion during China Furniture & Woodworks 2008. It is expected to be the largest USA Hardwood Pavilion in China, with twenty hardwood suppliers from USA participating. Additionally, Pollmeier, the largest beech timber manufacturer, and Canada Wood, Exor, Ignisterra, Austrian Wood Products, ITC, Eurocell will bring wood resources from the whole world.

The 2nd China Solid Wood Furniture Culture Week will take place concurrently with China Furniture & Woodworks 2008. The event covers a series of activities including the Annual Convention of Solid Wood Furniture Committee of China National Furniture Association, China Solid Wood Furniture Industrial Base Promotion Activity, 2008 Int’l Furniture Trend and Development Forum, 2008 China Int’l Furniture Match Meeting and China Wood Furniture Coating Competition. China National Furniture Association will co-organize the event.
